Work has officially begun on one of the first products to be offered by Speed Obessesion®.  Please stay tuned for more details...

Until then, please take a look at the updated pictures in the "IMAGES" banner to see what has been recently upgraded on the SRT 4. (Hint:  One of the pictures features one of the upcoming products...)

All of Shant's hard work came to fruition last weekend as he was able to shake out the Datsun 510 for the first time at Waterford Hills Road Coarse.  The project was a ground-up restoration project that hit "crunch time" the week prior to the open track event.  A side from my two off road excursions and very minor tuning on Shant's 510, all in all, everything went very well at the track.  Thanks go out to the folks at Waterford Hills in volunteering their time to allow us a day on the track.  Below are videos from the event.  Having some fun learning the capabilities of "Microsoft Movie Maker", so I apologize for the cheese factor...

Courtesy of 3ballsRacing, visited Payn Technologies to take a run on their Mustang Dyno.  This has been my first chance to see how the engine is performing since the modifications.  The following is a video of the event and Dyno plots.  This run was performed without any tuning and therefore shows the results Mopar's direct bolt-on system.

Thanks to Eric at Payn Technologies for running the Dyno and Daniele at 3ballsRacing for coordinating the event!

Below are some pictures of the side exhaust system that I fabricated for the vehicle, as well as how I have the water injection set up.

The side exhaust was fabricated using one of Burns Stainless 2-in-1 collectors. The goal was to do something different and with the Mopar Cat delete exhaust, have the ability to shoot flames out the tail pipe! The exhaust dumps out the driver's side of the vehicle and yes, you can see flames during extreme driving (please see video in previous post).

Using the nozzles that come with the Turbo Toys system of the Mopar Stage 3 kit, I mounted 2 nozzles firing directly into the intercooler and 2 nozzles firing across the front outside surface of the Spearco intercooler. It works great! And with the Turbo Toys controller installation is a cinch!

3Ballsracing held an open track event at Grattan Raceway Thursday, July 27.  What better way to see what this little car can really do!  Shant from Detroit Datsun brought out his BMW M3 and our buddy Kevin came along to join in on the fun.  First, let me say that Grattan is a fantastic, technical race track.  This pretty secluded track was full of twists, turns, elevation changes, and a couple high speed areas that certainly kept all of your senses on their toes.  We certainly had a blast experiencing this track and mingling with the other "weekend warriors?" and I'm sure we will be back out to do it again before the years end.

Below are some of my first attempts of capturing video of the car in action.  I'm still learning how to operate the equipment so please excuse some of the blurriness and shaky movement of the camera.  I plan to have the focus and camera fixture set a little more properly next time out.  Until then, enjoy the shows!

After about 3 weeks of work the car is complete!  Well, almost ;)  As you can see in the pictures on the banner to the left, a number of changes have been made to the SRT4 ACR.  Upgraded to Stage 3 turbo + toys, Stage 3 Suspension, Mopar Cat Delete exhaust, custom side exhaust, Spearco MONSTER Intercooler, AEM intake, polished and semi ported intake, RPM 60mm Throttle Body, and Carbon Fiber body pieces highlight just a few of the changes/additions to the vehicle.  I will be following up this page with more details of the installation/customization in the weeks to come.
